Hank’s solution is an isotonic standardized solution consists of various salts in addition to glucose, which is sterilized by membrane filtration.
The solution may be used to wash cells and tissue and to maintain cells in a viable state.
e.g. for separation of lymphocytes for HLA serologic determination.
