Cystic Fibrosis - Iberian Panel
Cystic fibrosis is the most common recessive disorder in the Caucasian population. Since the discovery of the CFTR gene in 1989, over 1700 mutations and variants in the gene have been described, many of these mutations have being described only in one patient and/or family.
The Iberian panel is designed to extend the coverage of Elucigene CF-EU2v1 kit specifically to address the most common mutations found in Spanish, Portuguese and Hispanic population. The Iberian Panel kit is designed for in vitro qualitative detection and identification of 12 additional mutations within the CFTR gene in a single reaction mix per sample.
