Lifecodes Serum Cleaner

The use of sera with a high background makes it difficult to detect and identify anti-HLA antibodies.

LIFECODES Serum Cleaner is a general purpose reagent designed to reduce the background signal found in some sera, due to non-specific binding of human serum components, without compromising sensitivity and specificity in tests performed with Luminex.

The microparticles of the reagent are preincubated with high background signal sera, and then eliminated. Such treated sera can then be used in immunoassays, using beads coated with antigen, and the results will be easier to interpret.
