MucorGenius

Mucormycosis is a rare invasive fungal infection with exceedingly high mortality and few therapeutic options. The disease is caused by Mucorales, which is a large group of species within the order of zygomycetes.

The kit allows the direct detection in BAL samples and biopsy samples, with results within 3.5 hours, for the detection of Rhizopus spp., Mucor spp., Mucor spp., Lichtheimia spp., Cunninghamella spp. and Rhizomucor spp.

Given the difficulty of diagnosing these infections, Mucorgenius kit helps and improves patient management and therapeutic decisions.
