Protrans HLA SSP kits
In organ transplantation, HLA compatibility between donor and recipient is one of the major determinants of transplant outcome. For this reason, the determination of the individual combinations of HLA antigens is used as a basis for the selection of donors and recipients.
Protrans HLA SSP Kits are intend to determine HLA-class I or –class II alleles based on a PCR method using sequence specific primer (PCR-SSP). The principle of the SSP method is to generate an amplificate only when the sequence of a primer is perfectly complementary to the target sequence of a DNA sample.
The composition of the primer mixes in each well of the Cyclerplates and Domino Strips permits positive identification of different specific alleles of each HLA locus.
